My life as a sailer was only for a few years. I bought the 26ft Hunter to learn to sail. I figured if was going to do this, do it big. We had to put a new floor and sump pump also do some wiring on the lights and such. but all in all is was in decent shape. Myself, grandsons Ian and Bradly, did the work on it. Then a sailing we go. It was quite interesting the first few times. But persistence paid off and we had a great time. Some of us spent the night out on the lake, a bunch. It was liveable had shore power as well. Could cook meals on an alcohol stove. The boat was docked on Guntersville lake in Alabama which is part of the the Tennesee river system. We would sail up and down the river. You could sail to the gulf from where we were at. When I retired I sold it, to much to transport and dock in Florida. Bought a Sunfish 16ft had it a couple of years sold it and now I'm down to a Kayak, LOL. I'm looking at buying a sail for the kayak. LOL
